I am relatively new to blogging and so I am learning how to post and put links in and all that stuff. So maybe I am more tolerant of other people who have troubles on their blogs or sites. I was very disheartened to read that some people have sent Royanna of Divine Digital some hate mail because her site is not back up 100%. It was sad when their site was hit by a hacker and the cost of getting it back up has been phenomenal. I guess the average person doesn't realize the cost. I realize that it is a business and perhaps they are suppose to suck it up and get going. But I think that one forgets that most of the scrapbook sites are started by average people like me and you. Stay at home moms, moms who need to have a second income coming in, some have husbands out of work or can't work due to being disabled, or retired moms, and so they share their creativity with those of us who lack that gift. I for one appreciate them very much. So when a site goes down, I think we all need to have some patience and stand loyally by the sites we love. We need to help them back on their feet if we can. And you know you can, by participating in the site when it is back up and supporting the designers at those sites. I have another site Digital Freebies that has been going through big changes and as a supporter of that site it is discouraging to me to find things missing every time I go on. But slowly it has been re-emerging. It's like a butterfly coming out of its' cocoon. For someone to bad mouth that slow process doesn't really accomplish anything. Although maybe for the disgruntled person, it makes them feel good, but it makes everyone else feel crappy. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes that perhaps they can't jump to our wishes of having things back in order. Who knows what trials and tribulations they are having? For the Divine Digital site, Royanna not only had her site hacked into, but her Mom had a heart attack and is in ICU. So she has had to travel back and forth between the hospital and trying to get her site back up. For Digital Freebie, I don't know the story, but I do know that it cost mega bucks to get a site changed and back up. Well I guess I have said enough. Maybe if we are kinder to one another it, and not be mean, things will go along a lot smoother.
